WHO WE ARE
Burntwood Family History Group was founded in 1986 by a small group of people who shared the wish to research their family history. We have grown steadily since then and we now meet regularly at the Burntwood Old Mining College.
We are a member of the Federation of Family History Societies.
We have members throughout the world and our membership is open to anyone with an interest in local and family history.
Details of how to join us can be found on How to Join.
If you are researching your ancestors from the towns and villages in our area, you are welcome to contact us for help and advice. We are only too glad to get you started and to provide our local knowledge. We are able to offer a limited amount of voluntary research in some cases.
Members of the Group are also available to give family history talks to other organisations in the local area; please contact Burntwood Family History Group.
