The Group has been very industrious in its transcription of local records. Our transcription project is now in its fourteenth year and we have transcribed numerous local records including indexes or full transcriptions of many parish and non-conformist registers, school admission registers, hospital burial registers and monumental inscriptions. For a full list of our transcription, please our Publications For Sale
Due to changes in computer technology we sell mainly CD-ROMs but we still have some floppy discs available. The latest work is the transcription of Saint Mary's Church, Lichfield. Progress is very slow, as the early records are extremely difficult to read. Mike Woolridge is the organiser of this work and he has a small group of transcribers and checkers working with him.
If anyone feels that they would like to help, Mike would be pleased to welcome them and help them to get started.
