Less than nine miles from Burntwood is The Staffordshire Regimental Museum. For an interesting time, visit the Museum which has a lot to offer those researching the history of Staffordshire Regimental soldiers and the history of the Regiments. There are displays, hands-on exhibits and regular special exhibitions and events
 
If you visit the Staffordshire Regimental Museum on the second Monday of the month or the fourth Thursday of the month, you could round off your day by joining the Burntwood Family History Group at one of our meetings

The Mascot
The Museum is open all year round from Monday to Friday 10.00 – 16.30 with additional opening in the Summer (Easter to Remembrance Sunday) on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays from 12.30 – 16.30. Visits outside these hours by prior arrangement
 
The Museum has a restaurant and gift shop with all sorts of gifts and memorabilia
 
 
 
Vehicles
 
 
The Museum has a collection of over 9,000 items, including uniforms. equipment, memorabilia and photographs relating to the Staffordshire Regiment and its predecessors. The Museum is also home to the Regimental Archives of the 38th Foot, 64th Foot, 80th Foot, 98th Foot, the North Staffordshire Regiment, the South Staffordshire Regiment and the Staffordshire Regiment.
 
This includes both Regular and T.A. units. The Regimental Archives may be consulted by prior appointment with a member of staff
 
Watchman
 
 
 
Coltman Trench
Visit the Coltman Trench. The system is a replica of a 100 meter section of a British W W I trench. It is named after L/Cpl William Harold Coltman V.C, DCM and Bar, MM and Bar who was a stretcher-bearer in the North Staffordshire Regiment.
 
He was the most decorated soldier of the first world war. He won his Victoria Cross, DCM and Bar and MM and Bar without firing a shot
