Burntwood Servicemen
2011 was our 25th anniversery. To celebrate, we created the Burntwood and District Memorial Project
We reserached the lives of servicemen in the Burntwood and local area, that served an lost their lives during the First World War
A mini-biography has been created for each serviceman researched.
This is an ongoing project, new biographies will be added and current biographies will continually updated

Our Members, established and new, submit their Surname Interests with their Membership Application Form either yearly or half yearly

National Burial Index
As a Member of The Federation of Family History Societies, we are contributing to the National Burial Index (NBI) for England and Wales
We have transcribed local burial records in the Burntwood area and they are listed

Transcription Project
 The Group has been very industrious in its transcription of local records of all types and there are now indexes or full transcriptions of many parish and non-conformist registers, school admission registers, hospital burial registers and  monumental inscriptions. These transcribed are listed and available for purchase
War Memorials in our Area
War memorials in our towns and villages, in cemeteries, in churches and in memorial halls have been photographed and transcribed and in some cases linked to profiles of individuals remembered
